Q: Why are these accommodations so special?
A: Location! These historic lodges are located in some of the most unique and breathtaking areas of our country, US National Parks. While these areas often have building restrictions, Xanterra Parks & Resorts allow Holiday guests to overnight within the park; a very convenient and unique experience. These exclusive accommodations are frequently in short supply during the busy season, so Holiday Vacations is proud to offer these properties in our exceptional guided tours.
Q: Which is your favorite Park Lodge?
A: My personal favorite is The Western Cabins at Zion National Park Lodge. These cabins were built in the 1920’s so they encompass a rustic feel but have modern amenities like a gas fireplace in each cabin. You're surrounded by some of the most intricate rock formations creating a very beautiful setting by day and during the night it’s a great place to stargaze as you are very far from any city light pollution. The Maswik Lodge at the Grand Canyon is also a wonderful property. It’s situated a short walk away from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, tucked in a large grove of Ponderosa pines. Both the Zion Lodge and the Maswik Lodge at the Grand Canyon are located within steps of a shuttle bus that will take you to all of the area’s most popular viewing spots.
2013 brought new and exciting opportunities for Holiday Vacations. We were exceptionally thankful for the opportunity to contribute to Milwaukee High School of the Arts’ new Graphics Art program by donating laptops, cameras and a large format printer. Recently, our in-house Graphic Design & Web Specialist Cortney Stoner visited with students, delighting in their stories of how the equipment has better enabled their education. She shared accounts of her experiences and transitions from high school to college and further into the workforce.
The Milwaukee High School of the Arts supports “Intellectual Growth through Creative Expression,” and provides a distinguished foundation for higher education. We’re very proud to invest in that mission and eager to follow-up with the students to see where these new opportunities will take them!Click here to learn more about the Milwaukee High School of the Arts!
